Filham Excelsior Hall of Fame
The athletes who have shaped the future of Filham Excelsior
Shot Put
Robyn Elliot has been part of Filham Excelsior since the club’s earliest competitive seasons and has established herself as one of the leading athletes of the club’s formative years. Her Hall of Fame qualification is built around the women’s Shot Put club record of 12.53 metres, achieved in S106. Although the record is still in its infancy, it already stands as one of the benchmark performances produced by a Filham Excelsior athlete. Shot Put has been the centrepiece of her career, supported by regular appearances in the Hammer Throw, Discus Throw and Javelin Throw. As the club developed its competitive presence, Elliot became a consistent performer across regional, national and league competitions.
Her achievements have been driven by success at regional level, where she collected four gold, three silver and three bronze medals at Individual Regional Championships. She also added three bronze medals at Club Regional Championships while representing Filham Excelsior. Personal bests of 12.53 metres in the Shot Put, 39.23 metres in the Discus Throw and 37.35 metres in the Hammer Throw underline her strength across the throwing events. Still active in S106, Elliot continues to build on her achievements and remains one of the athletes helping to shape the early competitive history of Filham Excelsior.
10,000 Metres
Ruby McNab has represented Filham Excelsior since the club entered competition and has quickly become one of its most accomplished endurance athletes. Her Hall of Fame qualification centres on the women’s 10000 Metres club record of 40:05.53, established in S105. As one of the earliest major records in club history, it has become a significant landmark in the development of Filham Excelsior. The 10000 Metres has been the foundation of her success, while strong performances in the 5000 Metres and Marathon have demonstrated her ability across a range of endurance disciplines. Her record performances have helped establish competitive standards for future generations of distance runners at the club.
Success at regional level has been a recurring feature of McNab’s career. She has won two gold medals, five silver medals and three bronze medals at Individual Regional Championships, while also contributing three bronze medals at Club Regional Championships. Her personal bests include 40:05.53 for 10000 Metres, 19:02.74 for 5000 Metres and 3h:08:19.89 for the Marathon. Those performances have made her one of the club’s most reliable distance athletes. Still active in S106, McNab continues to add to her record and remains a prominent figure in the early history of Filham Excelsior.
1500 Metres
Sofia Jeffreys joined Filham Excelsior in S101 and quickly developed into one of the club’s most successful athletes. Her Hall of Fame qualification is based on the women’s 1500 Metres club record of 4:42.87, established in S105. That performance remains one of the standout marks in the club’s young history and reflects the event that has brought her greatest success. Before arriving at Filham Excelsior she competed elsewhere, but her Hall of Fame achievements are built entirely on what she has accomplished since joining the club. The 1500 Metres has been at the heart of her success, supported by occasional appearances in the 3000 Steeplechase.
Jeffreys has assembled an impressive championship record during her time with Filham Excelsior. She has won two gold medals and three silver medals at Australian Individual National Championships, achievements that account for the majority of her medal total with the club. She has also collected a silver medal and four bronze medals at Club Regional Championships while representing Filham Excelsior. Particularly notable were her Australian national titles in S105 and S106, both achieved in the 1500 Metres. Still active in S106, Jeffreys continues to compete at a high level and remains one of the leading athletes in the club’s short but growing history.
Pole Vault
Elmar Elerand joined Filham Excelsior during S101 and quickly established himself as one of the club’s most successful field-event athletes. His Hall of Fame qualification is based on the men’s Pole Vault club record of 4.39 metres, a mark achieved during S106 and one that remains the standard for the event at Filham Excelsior. The Pole Vault has been the clear focus of his competitive career, accounting for the overwhelming majority of his recorded performances. While he has also competed in the High Jump, Long Jump and Triple Jump, it is the Pole Vault that has produced his strongest results and most significant achievements. His arrival helped strengthen the club’s developing field-event programme during its formative seasons.
His selected-club medal record includes three gold, one silver and five bronze medals. Most notably, he captured three Estonian Individual National Championship titles and added a further national bronze medal while representing Filham Excelsior. He also earned podium finishes at Club Regional Championship level and regularly represented the club in league competition. Across his time with Filham Excelsior he has recorded thirty-one victories and fifty-three podium finishes. Still active in S106, Elerand continues to add to a record that already places him among the club’s most accomplished athletes.
